PEARLESCENT PIGMENTS is appropriative pigment in Offset printing. The particle of usual pigment used in the four-color ink is 0.02－0.08µm, and the particle of other bright pigment is 0.2－0.7µm, while the particle of iSuochem PEARLESCENT PIGMENTS is 5-20µm, the depth is 0.2-0.5µm. But the depth of ink in Offset printing reaches 1-3µm, so if you want to get more outstanding pearlescent luster, we can recommend some points for your references.
Dosage
Mix two kilos transparent ink with one kilo PEARLESCENT PIGMENTS to get pearl luster ink
Ink concocting
Wet PEARLESCENT PIGMENTS fully by little solvent, then add a small amount of ink and mix it well. Put PEARLESCENT PIGMENTS and the rest transparent ink into an agitator tank, mix it well by leafy agitator machine, at the same time avoid forming air bladder, stewing for a time to escape from the problem of dispersing asymmetry because the ink is not saturated.
When it is a small amount, PEARLESCENT PIGMENTS and ink can be mixed fully and stew in the plate for a time(at the least 30 minutes)
To avoid destroying the particle of PEARLESCENT PIGMENTS, when concoct the ink, don’t deal with the PEARLESCENT PIGMENTS by strong shearing force(e.g, high speeding blender); If using three wheel machine, pressing and grinding machine, it had better adjust the interval to the largest.
The consistency of pearl luster ink should be adjusted to low the consistency of four color ink.
Lnking up
Before formal mass-producing, the imprinter should be added ink fully, and should increase the proportion in some degree between the adding ink implement and adjuster; the first pressworks should need superfluous pearl luster ink, then fully bring out the PEARLESCENT PIGMENTS by more Trial running paper
When you get the pearl luster effect, low gradually the depth of ink until you get the best pearl luster effect.
Minimize the water supply of the sink to avoid affecting the pearlescent effect.
