Commercial Pigment Yellow 83 grades may be described as red-shade or relatively green-shade, although both can retain the same C.I. Pigment Yellow 83 / C.I. 21108 identity. A red-shade grade normally produces a warmer golden or orange-yellow direction, while a relatively green-shade grade shows less red bias against the selected reference. “Green shade” remains a comparative description within the yellow region and does not mean that the pigment produces a green masstone.
