iSuoChem Explores the Natural Wonders of Xinjiang in an 8-Day Journey

iSuoChem, a leading company in the chemical industry, recently organized a remarkable team-building activity for its dedicated staff from June.17th~June.24th 2023. Departing from Anhui province, all employees embarked on an exciting 8-day trip to Xinjiang, immersing ourselves in the region's captivating landscapes and cultural treasures. This adventure allowed team members to foster stronger bonds, unwind, and witness the awe-inspiring beauty that Xinjiang has to offer.
Day 1: Urumqi - Gateway to Adventure
The journey began with a flight from Hefei to Urumqi, the vibrant capital city of Xinjiang. Situated farthest from the ocean and hailed as the geographical center of Asia, Urumqi set the stage for iSuoChem team's extraordinary exploration of Xinjiang's immense beauty and rich heritage.
Day 2: Sailimu Lake and Lavender Delights
After a hearty breakfast, iSuoChem team set off towards Sailimu Lake, often called the "tear of the Atlantic Ocean". The group was awestruck by the lake's ever-changing hues, ranging from deep azure to shimmering emerald. Continuing our voyage to Yining, we encountered the Guozigou Bridge, a natural marvel. Along the way, we delighted in a visit to the enchanting Lavender Manor, where we strolled through an expansive sea of vibrant purple flowers. The day concluded with a restful overnight stay in Yining.
Day 3: Nalati Grassland and Majestic Valleys
iSuoChem team's adventure continued with a drive to Nalati, offering breathtaking views of the picturesque Ili River Valley. En route, we marveled at the scenic wonders of Tangbula Baili Gallery. After a delicious lunch, the group explored the renowned Nalati Grassland, one of the world's four major grasslands. Some team members chose to ascend the mountain on horseback, while others opted for an electric sightseeing car. The Nalati Grassland, with its harmonious blend of lush meadows, majestic peaks, deep gorges, and dense forests, captivated iSuoChem team's imagination. The grassland's natural beauty, coupled with the vibrant Kazakh folk customs, transformed the experience into a truly remarkable one. As the day drew to a close, iSuoChem team settled into a comfortable hotel in Nalati Town.
Day 4: Bayinbulak Grassland and Duku Highway's Allure
The day began with a transfer to a 7-seater commercial vehicle for a scenic journey along the Middle Section of Duku Highway, renowned for its unparalleled beauty. iSuoChem team reveled in the sight of verdant meadows, meandering streams, traditional yurts, flocks of sheep, and majestic eagles soaring overhead. The mesmerizing vistas along the way never ceased to amaze. The next stop was the renowned Bayinbulak Grassland, also known as Swan Lake Scenic Area. Nestled in the heart of the Tianshan Mountains, this grassland boasted snow-capped peaks, rolling hills, and expansive meadows. iSuoChem team seized the opportunity to capture stunning landscape photographs and immerse ourselves in the area's cultural heritage. The day ended with a tranquil evening in Hejing.
Day 5: Turpan's Flame Mountain and Ancient Karez
Following a delicious breakfast, iSuoChem team embarked on a journey to Huozhou Turpan, where we encountered the legendary Flame Mountain. Known for its scorching temperatures, this mountain gained fame through the famous Chinese novel "Journey to the West." It was said that the mountain became enchanted when the Monkey King, Sun Wukong, stole the Iron Fan Princess, transforming it into the extraordinary landmark it is today. iSuoChem team then visited the remarkable Karez, one of Xinjiang's ancient irrigation projects. The ingenuity and hard work behind this water conservation system left team members in awe.
Day 6: Kumtag Desert's Allure and Return to Urumqi
The day began with an exciting journey to the Kumtag Desert, aptly named the "sand mountain" in Uighur. This unique desert landscape offered iSuoChem team an opportunity to partake in various activities, including scientific research, exploration, sand sports, and even sand therapy. The vast expanse of sand stretching as far as the eye could see left a lasting impression on iSuoChem team. Following our desert adventure, iSuoChem team returned to Urumqi, where we checked into our hotel, reflecting on the incredible experiences of the past days.
Day 7: Tianshan Lake's Tranquility and Kazakh Folk Customs
After a fulfilling breakfast, iSuoChem team embarked on a drive to Tianshan Lake, often referred to as Yaochi. Nestled in the eastern part of the Tianshan Mountain range, this natural gem enchanted iSuoChem team with its serene atmosphere, surrounded by towering peaks and lush forests. iSuoChem team relished the opportunity to explore various scenic spots, including Shimen Line, Longtan Biyue, Dinghaishenzhen, and Nanshan Wangxue. Additionally, we visited the Kazakh Folk Customs Garden, immersing ourselves in the unique traditions and culture of the Kazakh people. The day was filled with admiration for the Kazakh's deep connection to horses, as well as our captivating song and dance performances.
Day 8: Fond Farewell to Xinjiang
With our 8-day journey coming to a close, iSuoChem team bid a fond farewell to the captivating landscapes and vibrant culture of Xinjiang. Although the trip was physically demanding, the memories and camaraderie formed during this remarkable experience would stay with iSuoChem team forever. we expressed our heartfelt gratitude to iSuoChem for organizing this unforgettable adventure, providing us with an opportunity to connect, rejuvenate, and explore the hidden treasures of Xinjiang.
