Pigment Red 179 Product uses
C.I. Pigment red 179 is Red or dark red powder, insoluble in water and general organic solvents. It can be used in automotive original equipment paint (OEM) and repair paint, high-end industrial coatings, and is suitable for a variety of plastics (PVC, polyolefin, PA, ABS, etc.), rubber and ink systems (solvent-based/water-based/UV inks). It performs well in PVC plastisol, polyamide spinning dyeing and molybdenum chrome red compound opaque dark red tones, and can also be used as a vat dye. It should be noted that its dispersion in aqueous media (such as watercolor and acrylic paint) requires fine grinding, and the color development will show red/blue phase changes with the difference in the base material (such as egg tempera shows cold tones, watercolor shows warm brown red).
