Production Process

Pigment Red 53:1 is produced using the classic azo lake process. First, CLT-acid is diazotized in aqueous hydrochloric acid, by a coupling reaction with 2-naphthol under alkaline conditions. Following the reaction, the pigment undergoes acid adjustment and barium salt precipitation, and is finally filtered and dried to obtain the finished pigment. Strict control of reaction temperature and pH throughout the entire process ensures consistent product quality.
