Reversible thermochromic pigment, also known as thermochromic powder, thermosensitive powder or thermochromic powder, is a reversible thermochromic substance. Its form is usually powdery, with an average diameter between 2~7 microns. 

Thermochromic pigment contains discoloration substances inside, and a transparent shell about 0.2 to 0.5 microns thick on the outside. This shell neither dissolves nor melts, and can protect the discoloration substances inside from the erosion of other chemicals.

Reversible thermochromic pigments are prepared from electron transfer organic compound systems. Electron transfer organic compounds have a special chemical structure. At a specific temperature, the molecular structure of this compound will change due to electron transfer, thereby achieving a color change. The color-changing principle and structure of this pigment enable it to change color at a specific temperature, so it is widely used in clothing, cosmetics, toys, decoration and other fields.
