Color to colorless thermal dust, also commonly referred to as thermal powder, thermochromic pigment, or heat-sensitive pigment, is a widely used product. The color-to-colorless thermal dust is a best-selling series and the most widely utilized among all thermal dust varieties.

Definition: For example, red thermal dust will become invisible when the temperature rises to a specified level, such as 25°C (77°F), as shown in the image below.

In fact, what is generally referred to as "cold sensitive color change pigment" or "cold activated powder" is essentially the conventional color-to-colorless thermal dust.

Additionally, this color-to-colorless thermal dust can be further categorized into reversible and irreversible types:

Reversible thermal dust: When the temperature rises to the specified threshold (e.g., 25°C), the pigment changes from red to colorless. When the temperature drops below 25°C, it reverts to its original red color. This reversible type can be used repeatedly.

Irreversible thermal dust: When the temperature reaches the specified threshold (e.g., 25°C), the pigment changes from red to colorless. However, even if the temperature drops below 25°C, it does not return to its original red color. This type is less common and is typically used for detection, anti-counterfeiting, and similar purposes.
