Quality Control

As an OEM purple mica powder manufacturer, iSuoChem® inspects every batch of AS422 before shipment. An automatic film applicator is used to prepare uniform drawdowns for color-card comparison, while microscopic inspection helps identify irregular particles, surface lines and impurities. This batch-by-batch quality control supports consistent purple color, pearl luster and particle appearance for bulk orders.

For a strong pearl effect, mix Suiren Purple with a clear medium like epoxy resin, soap base, or glaze. It works well with both matte and glossy finishes. A little pigment gives a soft glow; add more for bold violet shine.

Note: Suiren Purple mica based metallic powder is non-harmful and cruelty-free. For bath bomb makers, using Polysorbate 80 is recommended. Always perform a patch test when trying any new additive on skin.

How Substrate Color Changes the Appearance of Purple Pearl Pigment

Substrate color should be included as a key variable when approving purple pearl pigment for production. Because effect-pigment layers may remain partly translucent, the underlying base can influence apparent color, contrast and visible pearl luster. Studies of effect-pigment coatings have shown that substrate color, surface roughness, viewing geometry and platelet alignment can all produce measurable differences in the final appearance.[1]

Base Color

Expected Visual Tendency

Black or dark base

Often increases contrast and makes the reflected pearl effect more pronounced

White or light base

Typically produces a lighter and more restrained overall appearance

Purple or color-matched base

May reinforce the body color, but the result should be confirmed by application testing

Contrasting base

May modify or mute the apparent purple hue depending on the pigment and formulation

For reliable color approval, prepare standardized drawdowns over black, white and the intended production base. Pigment loading, application thickness and processing conditions should remain consistent, because platelet orientation and surface structure may otherwise introduce additional appearance differences. Samples should be assessed under controlled illumination and from multiple viewing angles.[2]

FAQ

1. What makes iSuoChem's purple mica powder better than cheaper options?

We use high-purity mica with very few fillers. Cheap brands often look dull or uneven. Our Suiren Purple gives a clean, bright violet shimmer that mixes evenly in resin, soap, or paint.

2. How much mica based metallic powder should I use for epoxy resin projects?

A little goes a long way. Start with half a teaspoon per cup of resin. Mix well. Add more if you want a deeper purple. Our fine 10-60 micron powder blends without clumps.

3. Is Suiren Purple safe for lip gloss or eyeshadow?

Yes, it is cosmetic grade — non-toxic and gentle on skin. Many DIY makers use it for lip gloss, shimmer body butter, and eye shadow. We still recommend a small patch test before full use.

4. Does iSuoChem offer sample sizes or bulk packaging?

Yes. We can arrange small samples (2g, 10g, 50g) to test the color. For larger needs, we offer bags, paper drums, and custom packaging up to 25 kg. Just contact our team for any size.
